Minister’s Corner

Good morning and welcome to our church gathering this morning. I thank God for your presence here this morning and I thank you for choosing to be here and worship God together with us. Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day and each of us will celebrate and express our gratitude to those in our lives who responded to the grater call of service to our country and to us all. It is indeed this spirit of sacrifice that expresses true love. Jesus said that “13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) That is why we gather here Sunday after Sunday, because One was willing to go to Calvary and lay down His life for you and me. It is time to focus on Him. To focus on the source of our peace and express our gratitude as best we can in prayer, in songs and in the dedication to His word, but most importantly, in our hearts. That is where it truly matters for without the heart our prayer, songs and devotion are but hollow expressions. So let us dig deep, to the bottom of our hearts and let praise be raised to the throne of Grace for the love and devotion given us.

This Wednesday – November 13th – Family Time & Peak of the Week

This Wednesday we will meet at 6:00 PM for our Family Time. You are invited to bring your dinner brown bag/take out and enjoy it alongside other brothers and sisters as we chat about life and faith.

From 7:00 PM we will continue our study series on Prayer with a new study from the book OneCry: A Nationwide Call for Spiritual Awakening by Byron Paulus

Bible Break – Ladies Bible Study – Tuesdays from 9:30 AM

The Ladies’ Bible Break Class meet on Tuesdays, at 9:30 AM. The study is called “A light in the Darkness” (so relevant to the times we live in) and focuses on Elijah and Elisha. In addition to the Bible, a study book by Casandra Martin will be used. There will be no charge for the books. We welcome all to attend, so invite your family and friends. Any who have been a part of Bible Break would tell you: “YOU WILL BE BLESSED.”

Family Movie Night – November 22nd from 7:00 PM

This month we will be watching Letters to God. Letters to God is a 2010 Christian drama film directed by David Nixon and starring Robyn Lively, Jeffrey Johnson, Tanner Maguire, Michael Bolten and Bailee Madison. The story was written by Patrick Doughtie about his son Tyler. The story took place in Nashville, Tennessee, but the movie was filmed in the Orlando, Florida area.

Letters to God is based on the true story.

Men’s Breakfast – November 17th from 8:30 AM

This month, the Men’s Breakfast is on November 17th and I am calling all men to make the effort and come together as brothers that we may pray and encourage one another to God’s calling in our lives.

Christmas Eve Worship – only 7 weeks away

Christmas is only about 7 weeks away and if this time passes as the rest of this year… I am looking for help in organizing the Christmas Eve service. Please let me know your ideas, favorite things from the past, etc. how to make it a relevant, encouraging and honoring evening to our Lord.
