Minister’s Corner

CHRIST IS RISEN!!!!

I am excited to see you all this morning during our Zoom Easter Worship Service! This morning we have reason to rejoice and to celebrate for the tomb was found empty and a resurrected Lord appeared to His disciples and many others in Jerusalem for a period of 40 days, until He was taken to Heaven to be by the Father’s side, to work and intercede for us, which He is doing this very day! Praised be the name of the LORD!!!

Some 40 days ago, not counting Sundays, we started the Lent period in which I asked you to give up something in your life. I tried to give up many things. With some, I failed and with some I succeeded, and it was still incredible. My kids gave up sugar with the exception of Sundays if you can imagine that!!! Now, however, come 40 days of celebration, 40 days of rejoicing for our Savior is alive indeed. Take these 40 days beginning this morning and keep a journal, think daily of something meaningful that the fact that Jesus is alive brings to your life. Can you put together 40 things that give meaning to your life because Jesus is alive? This is your mission if you choose to accept it! (This message will self-destruct… nah, I’m just kidding :P, about the message, of course, BUT not the mission!) God bless you richly as you search!

This Wednesday – April 15th – Bible Study from 7:00 PM

This Wednesday we will meet online again for a Bible Study hour and we will discuss the Millennium if my memory serves me correctly.

I will send an email with log in details on Tuesday evening and a text reminder on Wednesday afternoon.

Elderly status check

Please continue to check on our elder members to make sure they are taking care of and are not in any need. As you do so please mark the file I set up on Google. Please email me if you do not have the link for it.

Bible Reading

To all who participated this past week in our Bible Reading, thank you. I know it was a long reading at times, but I was very blessed by it and I hope you were too. As a matter of fact, yesterday when we did not have a Bible Reading, I found myself missing it. Perhaps we should keep this going… reading two chapters a day perhaps, a short devo thought and a prayer. Let me know if you are for it and I’ll set it all up.

COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis shut-in extended

As you must know by now, our Governor has extended our shut-in until April 30th delivering some more restraining rules and fines for breaking those rules. Some people think it makes sense and some think it doesn’t make sense. As this is an election year there is a lot of power play at work on both sides of the isle, make no mistake! Among ourselves there will be discord in this area, but I encourage you to always be polite when expressing your views to one another or social media. Some feel like a stand has to be made in regard to our freedoms, some feel that silent submission is the Christ-like way to go about it all and neither one is wrong for we answer in front of God for our conscience so make sure you preserve and fallow it. God gives us freedom to choose even when we choose hell, the choice is ALWAYS ours for so God saw it right to be, so you are FREE to choose your conscience, to be complicit, to be neutral or to oppose. Each one of these has its own set of consequences, of course, and God trusts us to love one another through it all, even if loving someone it may mean distancing due to the realization that the moment is not good for either one of you.
