Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

As always, I want to begin by thanking you for joining us today. Although it is the practice of every true disciple to meet with the Church upon the 1^st day of the week, I don’t want to ever take for granted your presence with us. I always praise God and give thanks for you and every member of Troy Church and I often seek to know who joined the Zoom service. It’s been hard to not have so many of our faith family in person. Today we light the candle of PEACE and when I am together with the Church I am most at PEACE. I truly believe in Jesus’ words that where two or three of us are together He is in our midst and I can’t imagine how hard it must be for those of you who have not been able to join us, especially if you are alone… My prayer is that God blesses you through our gatherings and that His PEACE envelops and comforts you giving you the strength to carry on as we march onward to Heaven in faith!

This Wednesday – December 16^th – Family Time & Bible Study

Wednesday I invite those of you who are willing to come join us at the building from 6:00 PM for our Family Time dinner. Bring your takeout or brown bag at the building and have it together with us.

From 7:00 PM we will continue our reading of The Rational Bible: Genesis by Dennis Prager.

Bible Reading

Please join us in the journey of reading the entire Bible chronologically following the Chronological NIV Study Bible. We just finished the book of Genesis this past week so this is a great moment to jump on Zoom and join us. We read on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7:30 PM to 8:00PM.

Offering

Don’t forget, for your convenience and safety you can still make your offering on line at http://ww.troychurch.net/give

We will not pass an offering tray/plate around. If you want to make your offering via cash or check please place it in the offering tray/plate as you exit the auditorium. Thank you.

Christmas Eve Service – December 24^th from 4:30PM

We will have a Christmas Eve Service as usual at 4:30PM on Christmas Eve. It will be a candlelight service, as in the past, with few added safety measures against Covid spread in the hope that we will have more of those we’ve not been able to see throughout this strange year attend. Attendance is by registration only. Please visit www.troychurch.net and follow the link on the front page circular for more information on the Candlelight Service.

As there is no 100% proof safety method, we will still videocast the service on Zoom for those who are not able to attend.

Children’s Party – TODAY after morning services

For those of you with kiddos who feel comfortable getting together for a little end of year party. I want to thank Lora Price and Keith for thinking of our Families with Children and organizing this little end of the year party for us.
