Minister’s Welcome

Allow me to welcome you, in the name of our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit to the gathering of His saints as the Troy Church of Christ. Yes, you’ve read right, the gathering of His saints! Not because I’m ignoring the plethora of sins you’ve committed this week, or better yet, this morning, but because as a Christian, the Bible tells us, you are hidden in Christ. Jesus, our Lord, has dressed you in His righteousness. Yes, just as you are now hidden under the clothes you are wearing so none of us can see your physical imperfections. You have some, don’t you? You chose your clothes carefully to hide them, didn’t you? Do you know that there will come a day when ALL our imperfections in spirit will be revealed? A day of shame when we would wish the mountains will fall on us, or the earth would open and swallow us? Can you imagine how you would feel if ALL your secrets were to be exposed today? If today was the day we all would get to know every intimate detail hidden in your heart, mind and memory. How would you feel? Fearful? Embarrassed? Is that an understatement? Well, FEAR NOT! For if you are in Christ, you are hidden in His righteousness and I hope that sounds like something that gives you a great reason to have joy and to send praise heavenward today. Join me, and don’t forget that this is GOOD NEWS worth sharing!!!

This Wednesday – No Wonderful Wednesday – VBS @ Troy

This Wednesday there will not be a Wonderful Wednesday or class. VBS is going on all this week. Please come and support us. Ask Luke & Leah in what areas volunteers are still needed and join us in this important ministry.

VBS Set-UP

Today we are setting up for VBS. Please come back to the building after lunch and lend a hand so Leslie & I and a few others won’t have to spend the night at the church building trying to finish. THANK YOU!!!

Church of Christ Care Center

The Church of Christ Care Center hosts an annual Steak & Corn Roast benefit each summer. This year's event will be different. On Saturday, August 20, 2016 there will be the 75th Anniversary Celebration for the Church of Christ Care Center. It will be held at 5:00pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Fern Hill Golf Club in Clinton Township. Along with dinner, a professional comedian will entertain and Jack Dempsey, chairman of the Michigan Historical Commission and an elder of the Plymouth Church of Christ, will lead a journey down memory lane of the 75-year legacy of the Care Center. The focus of this event is to finish raising funds for a new 24 passenger bus needed to provide transportation for residents. See Nancy Schroeder for information and ticket sales

Baby Shower – DeMaggio Babies

The congregational baby shower for the DeMaggio family will take place on August 28^th right after the morning services. They are registered at: Target, Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us
