Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Allow me to wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day. Although Valentine’s Day is tradition since the end of the 5^th century and in spite of a murky origin celebrates love and the power of sacrificial love, we, Christians, have long before the 5^th century gathered on the 1^st day of the week to celebrate TRUE LOVE, love that sacrificed Himself to show us, to teach us what love is. So today, as every Sunday, we will praise HIM, Who is love, Who taught us and showed us the price of love, not just a gushy fuzzy feeling but as an intentional act of self- sacrifice, of humbling one’s self to lift up another. May God help us do likewise!

This Wednesday – February 17^th –Family Time & Bible Study

Those of you who would like, you are welcome to join us on Wednesday evening from 6PM with your take-out or home cooked dinner at the church building for an hour of family time.

After the dinner, Charles will guide us through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager which will be also video conferenced via Zoom.

Bi-Weekly Bible Reading Group

Please join us for our bi-weekly Bible Reading. It takes place on Tuesday and Friday from 7:30PM to 8:00PM and we are currently reading through the book of Leviticus.

Offering

Don’t forget, for your convenience and safety you can still make your offering on line at http://ww.troychurch.net/give

We will not pass an offering tray/plate around. If you want to make your offering via cash or check please place it in the offering tray/plate as you exit the auditorium. Thank you.

Prayer Group – Zoom ONLY – Saturdays from 7:30PM to 8:00PM

Please make a note to join us this Saturday. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to pray together for those on our prayer list as well as to prepare our hearts and minds for worship. For all of you participating in our services today, you were prayed for last night that God’s Spirit may give you faith and strength and that today your worship may be accepted by our Father and God through the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Zoom link is the same one we use for Bible Reading, Wednesday Class and Sunday Church.

Teen Bible Study on Zoom - James

Our youth bible study of the Book of James started this past week, and it will last two months, so February – March. If you know anyone who would like to be a part of it, it takes places on Thursday evenings from 7:30PM to 8:30PM.
