Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you, as always, for being with us this morning to worship God. Through our Savior, Jesus Christ we’ve received sonship and daughtership, heirs and heiresses of eternity and the royalty of our God and Father. There is reason to worship in every aspect of our lives, no matter how difficult or how exciting. God is present in our every second offering an unmerited grace that surpasses our understanding and our sin. Let us come together today with our minds prepared to be filled through His Spirit with love, and knowledge, and wisdom, and strength. Let God turn today your weakness into strength. Let Him heal you inside and out and trust in His wisdom to know what is best for you even then when His choice may not be yours. Let us walk in faith today and proclaim His grace, love and wisdom to this hurting world blinded by the busy, by the hassle, by the glitz & glamour of the world.

This Wednesday – May 19^th –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible Study.

From 7PM, in person and via Zoom, Charles will guide us through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Bi-Weekly Bible Reading Group –

Please join us for our bi-weekly Bible Reading. This week it takes place, as usual, on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30PM to 8:00PM. We have just started the book of Deuteronomy.

Yousef Nadarkhani – Prisoner Update – Now held for 1029 days

Yousef Nadarkhani is serving a 10-year prison sentence on charges of “acting against national security” and “promoting Zionist Christianity.” He is a member of the Church of Iran.

This is not the first time Yousef has been behind bars for his belief in Christ. In 2010 he was sentenced to death for apostasy and stayed behind bars until 2012  when he was acquitted by the grace of God and an answer to prayers.

He was arrested again in 2016 and sentenced in 2017 and sentenced to 10 years. In July 2020 his sentence was reduced to 6 years. Please continue to pray.

Family Prayer Time – Saturdays from 7:30PM

Don’t forget that Saturdays from 7:30PM you can log in to Zoom via the usual link for 30 minutes of prayer. It is an informal time of prayer and you are welcome to enter and exit at any time. There are times when I may not be able to attend but the Zoom is available to you and others may be there and you can pray with. Generally, Frank & Fran are on as well as Kay from time to time.
