Minister’s Welcome

Good morning to you on this third Sunday of March. We are fast approaching the celebration of Easter, on April 1^st, and even though, this year, it may fall on a calendar day notorious for pranks, the events we are preparing to celebrate are absolutely no joke. The road to God is littered with the carcasses of those who, in His pursuit, were not willing to accept the reality that God is bigger than them. I mean, they wanted a bigger God, no doubt, but not big enough that they could not understand, or control. We come together today to celebrate and honor a God whose ways are far beyond our ways, far beyond our ability to understand, but a God whose essential qualities we know, for what needs to be known of God was plainly revealed in His Son, our Savior, Jesus the Christ. Thank you for being here, join with me in giving honor and praise to the One whose love is perfect.

This Wednesday – March 21^st – Family Time, Peak of the Week

From 6:00PM we will meet to take supper together. Please bring your own take-out food and join us as we eat together sharing life as a family.

From 7:00PM we will come together and continue our Bible Study through James. This is a Bible Study with Francis Chan. Please read & pray over James 2:14-26 in preparation for this study.

Giveaway -  April 27^th Set-Up; April 28^th Open to Public

We will have a Giveaway this Spring and I thank Shana Parent for being willing to serve as the coordinator for this ministry. She needs volunteers and support as well as your donations. Please start bringing in donations so we have time to sort through them beforehand as the format of the Giveaway has changed. We will only have one day of being open to the public and one day for actual set-up. Also, if you know of anyone in need, please make us aware of them. Thank you.

Plan to Attend Rochester College’s Partnership Dinner

Please join Rochester College for the 47^th Partnership Dinner featuring historian Michael Beschloss. Partnership Dinner will be held at the Royal Park Hotel on Saturday, April 21^st. Michael Beschloss is an award-winning historian, best-selling author of nine books, New York Times columnist and Emmy-winning contributor to NBC News and the PBS NewsHour. Beschloss also has the largest Twitter Following of any historian on earth (with more than 110,000 followers); his site appears on TIME magazine’s list of the world’s top Twitter feeds. Coming Up this Month: Ukraine Fundraiser Lunch – 25th; Town Hall – 25th; Potluck – 28th

Ukrainian Lunch,

Next lunch will be next Sunday, March 25^th following the services. Valya and Volodya offered to make all Ukrainian menu with cabbage rolls, varenykys (pirogi), borscht, and other yummy Eastern European dishes. Gluten free dishes as well and deserts and fruit will also be served. Sweet Gianna Florescu offered to make cotton dishcloths & Isabella Florescu has crafted some gorgeous earrings to support this ministry, so we’ll have a table with knit and crochet items also.
