Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

We are officially entering the Christmas Week and as we approach the celebration of the birth of our Lord, I hope you start to feel true joy and excitement. Thank you for being with us this morning to kick off this magnificent week. Today we will be lighting the candle of Joy, the symbolic prayer of thanksgiving we raise to God for the joy He has placed in our hearts through the birth of our Savior. In John 1:4 we are told that “In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” Imagine John’s world where the ONLY sources of light were fire and the Sun, moon and stars. Nothing else. No electrical lights, no flashlights, nothing!  There was nothing more important than light. Without light nothing could exist or survive. Do we feel today the same importance for Jesus’ life as they did in the 1st century? Is Jesus’ life, life giving to us? Is it what makes life for us possible and without which life would be unbearable?

This Wednesday – December 22nd – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.
