Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and Kαλό μήνα (Kalo Mina) to you! I hope this new month brings you unfulfilled wishes and blessings upon blessings of things you’ve been praying for a while for.

Thank you for your decision to worship with the Troy Church this morning. It is my prayer, wish and hope that you will find God’s presence in our midst. In truth, God’s presence is found when our eyes open to the reality of its permanent existence. Men rely on external stimuli, such as music, lights, drums and bass to create an atmosphere in which one can better detect God’s presence but the reality of His presence is only truly detected by the heart for that is the domain He reigns in. We see God when we turn our hearts over to His control, to His dominion and rule. Are you willing to do that this morning?

I will be missing you all today but I pray God’s blessings on your worship time together and on Pat’s word that together you may experience His love, power and grace in a new way! Peace be with you!

This Wednesday – August 4^th –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible Study.

From 7PM, in person and via Zoom, we will continue our journey through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Imprisoned for Christ – Virtual Event available On Demand

The Voice of the Martyrs’ Imprisoned for Christ Virtual Event is available on demand, allowing you to watch it whenever it’s convenient for you. You will be inspired by the testimonies of three men who were arrested, interrogated, and imprisoned for their faith in Christ:

• Petr Jasek, imprisoned in Sudan; Andrew Brunson, imprisoned in Turkey; Dan Baumann, imprisoned in Iran. Please email me or text me and I will send you the link.

Adult & Children Bible Classes

Sunday School classes for both, adult and children will resume in September, after Labor Day, when we will return to our normal schedule; Sunday Bible Class 10AM – 11AM; Worship 11AM.

Please let Keith, Pat or Manu know if you are willing to be involved in teaching or assistant teaching Bible Classes on Sunday as well as on Wednesday. Manu will be teaching Elementary with Shana. We will have a cradle roll class (Pamela McCauley) and based on the availability of teachers we may have a pre-school class to better accommodate the different ages of children in our congregation.

Please prayerfully seek God’s guidance toward this ministry and get in touch with Keith, Pat or Manu if you feel God leading you in this direction to minister.
