Minister’s Corner

Good morning and Καλό μήνα” (Kalo Mina – A Good Month) to you as we’ve stepped into the calendar days of September. This is the month that brings with it the beginning of Fall which will soon arrive with its artistic brush to paint lives in the beautiful reds and yellows that make this season so enchanted in this part of the country. School has already started for most as we enjoy one last holiday weekend of summer. A new season of training brings with it new goals, new hopes and hopefully renewed motivation. Today we continue our discipleship series with our second lesson on training and the ingredients we need (there is a test), in order to train properly.

Thank you for being here this morning. Your presence here is an encouragement to all of us and a testimony to God’s greatness and glory. As we gather around to worship Him through songs, prayers, communion and offering, let us not forget to offer Him our hearts & minds. Let us release the burdens of this past week, of work, of health, of stress or struggle and let our being be filled with His love, His peace, His promise so that fearless we may step in next week’s training ground and not just overcome but excel!!!

This Wednesday – September 4^th – Family Time & Peak of the Week

This Wednesday we will meet for our usual Family Time. Please come join us! Bring your packed dinner and enjoy it as you fellowship with brothers and sisters in faith and talk life & faith.

From 7:00 PM we will continue our study series on Prayer. I know it will enrich your life and your relationship with God. This is part of our training curriculum.

Baseball Game Outing

Thank you again to you all who have come out to support the Diamond Hoppers at the field as well as all of you who have donated to the ministry seeking to enrich these athletes’ lives with our Savior Jesus Christ, and through their role model, and long reach, to countless others. We raised almost $800 which is amazing! Thank you!

Community Celebration – Corn Roast – Next Sunday – 12:30 PM

We are only one week away from the Community Celebration and Corn Roast. I sent out an email with a sign-up sheet for food items. However, I wanted to make sure to mention that those of you who normally cook a specialty (like Dick’s cornbread, or Fran’s sauerkraut & sausage, etc.) please feel free to bring your usual dish. Frank will pick up the corn in the morning, and I need some volunteers to help set up & take down the tables under the tent. Frank will help to roast the corn but would like to have a few volunteers to help with the food. Please invite your friends and neighbors. It will be a fun day with good friends and good food.
