Minister’s Memo:

Good morning and welcome to our worship assembly. I pray that you are coming off a week you ended up on top, but even if when all is said and done, the week was a challenging one for you, know that this morning you are in the midst of people who understand love, forgiveness and the grace of God.

His GRACE is new this day for you and for each one of us. God wants us to know that we start the day fresh so as not to allow defeats, disappointments or anything else negative to add unnecessary weight to our walk, slowing us or even dragging us down in our pursuit of Christ. The GOOD NEWS, the GOSPEL, is that our Lord Christ Jesus came to fix everything. He has taken care of our salvation and currently is working to take care of our sinful prison problem. We look forward to that promise, of being made new, of being made complete, and until than we face whatever life throws our way. We know that the god of this world is our enemy and thus we don’t expect an easy road. This is a marathon for sure, grueling, hard, relentless but today, this morning, you just arrived at a water station so REST and DRINK and be REFRESHED!

This Wednesday – January 23rd – Family Time & 1^st Peter Study

This Wednesday please come at 6:00PM for an hour of fellowship. Bring your dinner and eat as you fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ discussing life & current events.

From 7:00PM, we will continue the study in 1 Peter with Kyle Idelman and Keith’s leadership.

Family Movie Night – Friday from 7:00PM

This coming Friday we will have another movie night at Troy. We will be showing the God is Not Dead movie. This will be the first movie in the series. We will have popcorn and pop for adults. Kids only water in the auditorium please.

Please RSVP and come before 7PM so that we can start the movie as close to 7PM as possible. Movie is 1 hour and 53 minutes long.

MMA Self – Defense Class

Just a reminder that we have a self-defense class on Saturday mornings. This is a very low impact class meant to accommodate all ages and is provided at no cost to you. It aims to create a balance between practical self-defense techniques and a cardio workout.

Town Hall

Next Sunday after the morning services we will hold our 1^st Town Hall of the year. Out of all our Town Hall sessions during the year the January Town Hall is mandated by our legal status. I encourage you to attend as this will be the session during which we announce the budget and a summary of the financials  for the last year. Thank you in advance!

Asia Bibi Update

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi will celebrate Christmas under guard, despite being cleared of the blasphemy charges that kept her in jail since 2010. Bibi remains a prime target with Islamists calling for her blood and the government refusing to reveal her location out of fear for her safety.

Please continue to pray for her safety and for a country to accept her asylum application. Due to public pressure, the government agreed to a final review of the Supreme Court ruling. Review which is currently underway.
