Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you for being part of our worship service this Lord’s Day. May our God, and Father, accept our worship and may our words, prayers and thoughts truly bring glory to His Name today.

We are ending our GRACE conversation today and I hope that having looked at this subject more deeply, your perspective of what GRACE is and what GRACE does has broadened. I thank God for the GRACE given to us as a congregation and as a people. For the transformation it has brought to our lives, for the impact it has had on other people through Troy Church, and for the powerful motivator it is when we find ourselves exhausted. Because of GRACE, Christ emptied Himself and so must we for it is only when we have emptied ourselves that GRACE really fills us full. Thank you, Father, for your GRACE!

This Wednesday – August 26th – Family Time & Bible Study

This Wednesday I invite those of you who are willing to come join us at the building from 6:00 PM for our Family Time dinner. Bring your takeout or brown bag and “social distancing” at the building we will share a meal together.

From 7:00 PM we will continue our study of the Book of Isaiah corresponding with our collective Bible reading. By this Wednesday we should have read chapters 1 through 30 of Isaiah. Please send me your questions so I can prepare the lesson. Thank you.

Birthdays this week: Fran Birdwell (28th); Leslie Florescu (28th)

Bible Reading – Tuesday & Friday – 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM

On Tuesday we will read Isaiah 28, 29 & 30 and on Friday, Isaiah 31, 32 & 33. Please join us from 7:30 to read God’s Word together. The Apostles and the 1st century Church were daily in the Word together. Today technology affords us the same luxury without having to leave our couch. Regardless of what reading plan you have I promise God won’t be disappointed if you add these readings to your weekly schedule.

VBS in a Box 2020

Our Children have had a fantastic week of building and learning solid biblical truths as can be witnessed on the VBS FaceBook Group page that can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/2638121923128132/

Thank you once again Pamela McCauley for the idea & the wonderful organization. Thank you as well to Ron and Linda Palmer, Jan Haefner, Lora Price and Fran Birdwell for sharing valuable lessons with the kids.

I don’t think I really have to mention it but needless to say, this year we will be skipping the Community Celebration annual event. Please let your friends and family who usually attend this event, know.
