Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you for being with us this morning and choosing to worship the Lord, on this last Lord’s Day of June, with the Troy Congregation.

This past week marked the official beginning of the summer season and the countdown started towards fall; thus, most Michiganders will try to take full advantage of the sun and warmth before it is all replaced by the beautiful colors of the fall plunging us into the dreaded cold season. Can you tell I do not like winter? However, whatever plans your summer may bring, know that you always have a home here at the Troy Church of Christ, with people always looking forward to worshipping with you, to encourage you and be encouraged by you, to pray with you and for you and to give glory and honor to God in weakness as well as in strength. Paul urged 1^st century Christians to not give up meeting together to worship and I as well, encourage you to center and anchor your summer weeks to these Lord’s Days when we come together to be filled with God’s Spirit and Word. May God bless you this day as you worship in the body of Christ!

This Wednesday – June 30^th –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible Study.

From 7PM, in person and via Zoom, we will continue our journey through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Bi-Weekly Bible Reading Group –

A decision was made to suspend our Zoom Reading for the duration of the Summer, resuming in September, after Labor Day.

Adult & Children Bible Classes

Sunday School classes for both, adult and children will resume in September, after Labor Day, when we will return to our normal schedule; Sunday Bible Class 10AM – 11AM; Worship 11AM.

Please let Keith, Pat or Manu know if you are willing to be involved in teaching or assistant teaching Bible Classes on Sunday as well as on Wednesday. Manu will be teaching one of the Children classes and would welcome an assistant. We will have a cradle roll class and based on the availability of teachers we may have an extra class to better accommodate the different ages of children in our congregation.

Please prayerfully seek God’s guidance toward this ministry and get in touch with Keith, Pat or Manu if you feel God leading you in this direction to minister.
