Minister’s Welcome

Good morning and welcome to today’s worship gathering of the Troy Church.

Today, as you can see, our setting is a little bit different. The Troy Church building will be home to South Oakland Shelter for one more week so after our services I invite you to stay and have lunch with our SOS guests. We will be enjoying an afternoon of fellowship, games, food and fun together.

Troy Church, thank you for your support and sacrifices made during this week to make our guests feel welcomed and at home as much as possible given then circumstances. I pray that God & our guests are as pleased with our effort as I am. Thank you!

Today we will only have our Worship service as our classrooms are still converted to bedrooms for the SOS guests. Join me therefore as we praise God in song, in prayer, in Scripture reading and in teaching. In the past couple of weeks, we looked at Christ’s Supremacy over His creation and how everything is held together in Christ and today we will look at Christ’s Supremacy over the Church for He is our King and although Troy Church might be small, the Kingdom we are part of is not!

As with most things of value, you get out of them what you put into them, so it is with worship. You get out of it what you put into it, so if you want a full heart today make sure to pour it all out in worship. God is GREAT!

This Wednesday – July 6^th 2016 – fellowship

This Wednesday as our SOS guests will still be using the building we will not have our regular Wonderful Wednesday and Apologetics class. However, please come by the building and spend some time in fellowship with our guests and the team hosting this week.

God, Guys & Guns - Update
For those of you who signed up for our God, Guys & Guns weekend retreat you should have received an email this week outlining our arrangements. Please respond to this email and let me know what weapons you will bring so I can finish our schedule regarding the shooting activities.

Ukraine Fundraising Luncheon
Our last fundraiser will be next week, July 10th. We are going to serve spaghetti and meat sauce, fresh garden salad, Tiramisu cake, fruit, and other tasty things. Gluten free options available. Since it's our last time doing it, we thought you would enjoy learning some more facts about Ukraine, listening to Ukrainian music, and having a questionnaire about this fascinating country. The winner will be rewarded with a box of Ukrainian candy! :) Once again thank you for supporting us! We have been overwhelmed with your generosity over our fundraising for Ukraine! So far we have raise nearly 60% of the trip costs! With love and appreciation,
