Minister’s Welcome

Good morning & Happy Labor Day weekend! I am not sure if it is called Labor Day weekend and we have it off so we can have one last great vacation, or if it is called Labor Day weekend because it is your last opportunity to catch up on the work around the house. Whichever it is for you, I hope you have and are accomplishing your goals and I thank you for being here this morning.

Labor is not a word unfamiliar to Christians. In the 3rd chapter of Colossians, Paul encourages us to labor diligently to put to death those things in us that are contrary to Christ. Often times, Christians mistake this for an all-out brawl with sin trying their best to overpower it with self-will, and although they may subdue it,…for a while at least, in turn, they become legalistic and start basing their confidence in their own strength to obey. Christ has called us to a different kind of freedom and this morning we will continue to talk about that as we unite our voices in praise and worship. Remember however, that our voices are only the outward reflection of our minds and hearts and thus it is with your heart that you are called to sing and pray this morning. Let go…and let God!

This Wednesday – September 7th - What IF?

Invite your friends! This week we continue our 5 weeks video series called WHAT IF? If is a powerful little word. Some people are stuck in "if only," trudging through lives marked with regret. But God wants us to live lives marked with possibilities, with the "what if" attitude that looks forward to the future with confidence. Why? Because the answer to "If God is for us, who can be against us?" is "No one." God is always on our side. Every day, in every way.

This week we will unfold session 3 – “AS IF”

Before that we will enjoy dinner together from 6:00PM this week is POTLUCK

Corn Roast – Community Celebration

Don’t forget that next Sunday we will have our annual Corn Roast / Community Celebration. Make sure to invite your relatives and friends and pray for an awesome weather. This is a potluck to which we invite the neighborhood so please bring a dish to pass. There will also be a hot dog / brats cart to help us take care of any food needs. We will have a water slide again so please let everyone invited know to bring a bathing suit.

Easter European Mission – Annual Collection – September 25th

This year, the annual collection date for the Bibles printed and distributed by the Eastern European Mission is on September 25th. Please make preparations to give at that time to this worthy cause.
