Minister’s Welcome
Good morning! Today holds a very special place in all our hearts as we celebrate and thank the most incredible individuals in our lives, our Mothers. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you sweet mothers in our midst today! Without you, our lives would not only be impossible, but even then when the Lord makes them possible, they would be robbed of an incredible value, essential value, anchoring us even as adults into the right balance resulting in the right self-confidence and self-esteem.
Through our mothers we get to know God in a unique way and as we celebrate them today we give thanks to God, our Creator for having ordained creation as such. Imagine being like the little turtle babies born in the sand, orphans from the very beginning, never destined to know the love of a mother, or a parent… Thank you God, for our Mothers, for their reflection of your light and love. Let us remember sweet moments and celebrate our Mothers and our Great God!
 

This Wednesday – May 11^th 2016 –  Apologetics

This Wednesday join us in a new study of Apologetics. I aim for those in this class to become adept at recognizing the many worldviews influencing our culture and equipped to challenge the assumptions of these worldviews.  

As always we will meet at 6:00PM for our Wonderful Wednesday fellowship dinner. This week will be TEAM 4 – SOUP & SALAD

Elijah Wagers request – Elijah is the young man from Rochester College that worshipped here

Troy Church, I received the following request from Elijah Wagers (if you have questions about who he is please ask Luke Beard or Candace Cain).

"I am in need of a room/apartment, for about a three-month term, from May to August. Preferably in Rochester Hills, Troy, Rochester, Auburn Hills, or Madison Heights.  I will be quiet, as I keep to myself; odds are good that you will rarely see me, though I am loyal to my friends when I get to know them. I don't consume drugs or alcohol. I would prefer a stay that costs me about $350 a month. I can help a little around the place if you need, though I do have my own involvements." My credit: 740's (can verify) My income: 1,100 a month (can verify) I work 38-44 hours per week ***Will explain more when we sit down to discuss this.***Please reply to: Elijah Wagers, ewagers@rc.edu

SOS Sign-Up Sheets in the Hallway!

Be a part of an outreach that can make a huge impact to those in need. If you would like to help with the SOS homeless shelter (June 26-July 3) see the information in the hallway.

God, Guys & Guns – Sign-Up TODAY – only 5 spaces available

We have secured the cabin for July 22^nd – 24^th so the retreat is ON. There is a sign-up sheet in the lobby. Space is limited (so if you did not sign up, do it). The lodging was offered free to us by the generosity of John Gresham and Mark Johnson. The cabin has a shooting range and we would have the opportunity to talk about God and being men of God, as well as shoot some guns, competition as well as just recreational shooting.

Ladies' Saturday Morning "PRAYER and SHARE" Time -May 14th at 10:30 a.m. 

All ladies are invited to come. Yes, time is taken from our very busy schedules, but it is time well spent. We are able to encourage each other in our roles in our families and this church family. We are currently meeting once a month. Come and see what a blessing you, too, might receive.
