Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you in advance for being a part of our worship this Lord’s Day. I pray that you will receive comfort, strength, encouragement and answers to all the questions your heart seeks. A wise man once said that “100 religious persons knit into a unity by careful organization do not constitute a church any more than 11 dead men make a football team.” (AW Tozer) and I think he was absolutely right. It is not our organization that makes us who we are, it is Jesus Christ. It is the measure of Christ in our hearts as that defines His work in us and through us. I would say even more,… the measure of Christ in our hearts truly defines the measure of our victory, the measure by which we overcome the world. In a world saturated by self-help books, life coaches and gurus, is there any space for Christ? Is there anything needed beyond Christ for us to be well? We are on a journey to find us. Stay with us! God bless you!

This Wednesday – January 12th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.

Birthday this week: Mary Alice Cowie (9th); Diane Quigley (10th); Brad Imhoff (13th)

Anniversaries this week: Fred & Barb Oja (12th)

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday 7:15PM-7:45PM

Thank you to those who reached out about the Zoom Bible Reading. Based on current calendar I suggest 7:15PM -7:45PM. That will allow everyone to finish dinner and get set. Atticus has basketball practice on Thursday until 7 so that will give us a chance to get home and get set as well. So, we will begin this Monday, tomorrow, 10th January at 7:15PM. We will use the same link as for Sundays and Wednesdays to make it easier for anyone to get in. I’ve not kept up with the reading from where we left off, so we’ll talk tomorrow and reach a consensus on where to start reading.
