Job 39:26-27
"Does the hawk take flight by your wisdom and spread his wings toward the South? Does the eagle soar at your command and build his nest on high?"

Did you know that every autumn, beautiful monarch butterflies migrate from their Northern homes to warmer areas in Southern California and Mexico?
The butterflies travel approximately twenty-five hundred miles for up to two months, and they not only migrate to the same area each year - they actually migrate to the same trees!
What's even more amazing is that the migrating butterflies have never been to the areas to which they are traveling! Each year there are four generations of monarch butterflies. Three of the generations live for approximately two months. The other generation lives for six to eight months, and these are the butterflies that migrate to the warmer climate. They are "returning" to trees last visited by monarch butterflies three generations back!!!

The arctic tern migrates the Arctic to the Antarctic and back again every year - round trip of fourty-four thousand miles. This means that in its twenty year lifespan, a single arctic tern will travel the equivalent of three round trips to the moon!!!

Scientists have not been able to explain the amazing migration habits of these two species other than to say that they migrate by instinct. This leaves one big unanswered question: what - or Who - designed these migratory animals with such amazing instincts?
What do you think would happen to these species if one year no migration would take place?

How do you think monarch butterflies and arctic terns know when to leave and where to go?
How do the butterflies find the same trees every year?

There is a DVD out there called Amazing Journeys that describe the journeys of different migratory animals. If you have a chance watch it.

How would it be possible for non-intelligence to create in these animals such instincts? How would any of these animals, especially the butterflies, be able to survive a gradual process of learning and encoding information absolutely necessary for their survival?
The simple answer is, they would not.
They would have died long before learning.
