VBS store

During our VBS we will try to have a store for the kids to buy things from at the end of the event. If you can contribute items for the store, it would be greatly appreciated! Small toys, puzzles, small lego sets, crayons, coloring books or books, balls, etc are some of the examples of what kids might want to buy. We will have different pricing on them depending on their value. The items can be brought to the church any time before the VBS, we will have a container set up in the foyer to drop them off. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

VBS Prep Update

Tonight (Wednesday) there will be a brief announcement about our VBS preparations. There will not be a meeting this Sunday as previously stated in the last bulletin.

There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer this evening. You will be able to see the volunteer list online at any time: www.troychurch.net/vbs-volunteer.  From that page you can also volunteer if it's more convenient.

Matthew

Troy Church, For those of you who are following the Bible reading schedule that was handed out a the end of the year, the reading for the next ten days or so is the gospel of Matthew. It begins tomorrow in Matthew 1. I would like to challenge you and others to begin to read Matthew today and read four chapters a day this week and read the last four chapters next Sunday morning before you come to worship assembly. I think that this will give us a great perspective for the Easter week as we read through the life of Jesus in Matthew's gospel. Happy and blessed reading.Ron Palmer

Leader Assessment

The Troy Church of Christ has a practice of periodically assessing the ministries of it elders and deacons and receiving suggestions for new people to serve in these capacities. We believe that this is essential to maintaining the vitality of these ministries. In prior years we assessed half of the leaders every year so that each person was assessed every two years. Since it has been substantially longer than two years since our last assessment, all three elders have agreed to be reassessed by the congregation at this time.
