Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

I pray you are doing well this morning and I am excited to be able to spend it in worship with you. Yet again we have the opportunity to come together as a body of believers before God. As a Church. Tozer once said that “One hundred religious persons knit into a unity by careful organization do not constitute a church any more than eleven dead men make a football team.” When I first heard this quote, I was floored by its truth. On the next page is a quote from Timothy Keller that illustrates the dramatic difference between “religious persons” and ‘true disciples, the Church.” Let us come together this morning with our minds and hearts set firmly on Jesus. Let us come full of prayer, of wonder, of gratitude and faith, of all those things that will give life to our service and bring glory and honor to our God, and loving Father!

Thank you for worshiping with us today!

This Wednesday – October 13th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.

Leadership nominations – T-21

A couple of weeks ago I sent out a note regarding nominations for the future leaders of the Troy Congregation. October 31st is a Sunday this year and that is the Sunday we would like for you to turn in your nominations that you have, and will be, prayerfully thinking about. I cannot believe we are about to step in October so these 21 days will pass fast. This 4th Quarter of 2021 holds a lot of decisions for us as a congregation regarding leadership and living the 2022 year in the purpose of our Lord. This is an exciting time as well as we expectantly look to the Lord for direction and blessings. Thank you in advance for your diligence and partnership in the Spirit as we seek His guidance, living in His purpose.
