Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and welcome to our faith gathering at the Troy Congregation. As we gather this morning to worship, I invite you to approach the time together with an open mind. An open mind to the possibilities of God’s miracles. I am not talking about miraculous healings although I invite and pray that the Spirit may heal those found among us today. This is God’s promise: That where two or three are gathered in His Name, He will be there in their midst. So,… as you get ready this morning, I pray your mind is set on this meeting, for,… today you will be in the presence of Jesus Himself. Will you be able to push away distractions and focus on His presence? Will you be able to not let yourself influenced by good or bad singing, or by what others are doing  during worship, by the myriad of imperfections our congregation has? I hope so, for perfect or imperfect, Jesus will be in our midst today.

This Wednesday – July 14^th –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible StudyFrom 7PM, in person and via Zoom, we will continue our journey through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Individual Bible Study

As the Summer is here and most of the common activities are still suspended, I wanted to extend the invitation to every one of you (or friends you know) to a one on one Bible Study. I would like to study the Bible one on one with any one of you who may have an interest.

Please let me know directly via email or phone text. We can study any book of the Bible you want or any of the contemporary topics that interest you.

Adult & Children Bible Classes (in case you missed it)

Sunday School classes for both, adult and children will resume in September, after Labor Day, when we will return to our normal schedule; Sunday Bible Class 10AM – 11AM; Worship 11AM.

Please let Keith, Pat or Manu know if you are willing to be involved in teaching or assistant teaching Bible Classes on Sunday as well as on Wednesday. Manu will be teaching one of the Children classes and would welcome an assistant. We will have a cradle roll class and based on the availability of teachers we may have an extra class to better accommodate the different ages of children in our congregation Please prayerfully seek God’s guidance toward this ministry and get in touch with Keith, Pat or Manu if you feel God leading you in this direction to minister.
