Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

As you read this bulletin, I pray that God’s Grace & Love infuse joy and strength into your heart. We follow a God of love Who so loved us that He sent His own Son to pay our greatest debt. As followers of Christ, we set apart this day of worship to approach God’s throne in gratitude in our hearts and with spirits filled with joy at the understanding that we are accepted. I don’t know how your week was and if you are reading this on high or low note, but whichever it maybe I want you to know that today, in this moment, you are not just very well known to God, but you are accepted. Yes, fully accepted when you rely on your acceptance through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The Son of Heaven, with the foresight of your sin, of your betrayal in allowing things to come between you and Him that should never be, He lifted your sin on His cross and paid it in His innocent blood so that in suffering your penalty you may be accepted by His innocence. How insane is that? Totally insane! And the only thing you have to do is believe it, accept it, allow yourself to be accepted!!! Thank you, God!

This Wednesday – September 22nd – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time. This Wednesday however we have a real treat as the Tomes and Birdwells will be cooking for us. So if you want some awesome tasting soup make sure to be on Wednesday at the church building at 6:00PM

From 7PM, we will start a new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.

Sunday Bible Classes – All Ages – Today – 10AM

This  morning we will resume our regular schedule with Bible Classes for all ages prior to our worship hour at 11:00AM. Please set your alarms, mark your calendars and let’s try to have 100% attendance. We will have an adult class taught by Kyle, class which will be available through Zoom as well, cradle roll class with Pamela, Pre-school class with Leslie, Elementary school class with Manu and Teens will attend Kyle’s class today. Unfortunately, we only have the capability to Zoom one class, our adult class. As our worship is a Family Multi-Generational Worship, the only time we provide Bible education geared toward specific ages is during the 10AM – 10:45AM Bible Class and we hope that you all will take advantage of this time.

2022

Although the world is still filled with uncertainty and unrest due to Covid, wars and economic environment, our mandate to spread the Gospel of Christ to every heart is steadfast and we must continue. We’ve learned many new ways to connect during these past two years and developed many new habits, some good, some not so good, when it comes to the Church and the mission we have from our Lord in this world.

As we are fast approaching the last quarter of 2021, I want to appeal to all the Troy Church Family to a commitment to fasting and prayer for our 2022 year as a faith community. We will start making plans and bringing them before God. We have leadership challenges, missional challenges, environmental challenges, and we need God’s clear direction as we go forward. More on this topic to come. Thank you in advance!
