Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Christmas is Coming! Christmas is Coming! Christmas is Coming!

Here we are, on our last Sunday of Advent and I pray that the Spirit of Christmas has been lit in your hearts and souls, that the warmth of this season has warmed your hearts and made them ready for the King. Thank you for being with us today, online as well as in person. I pray that today’s service will touch you in a special way and God will bless you in just the right way to fill you with hope, and faith, and peace and LOVE. Today we will light up the Candle of Love as a reminder that at Christmas time LOVE came down, Emmanuel! What do we learn of LOVE from this little baby laid in a manger? What message of love is God sending you today? Let us gather around and as we prepare our hearts for His Spirit, let us sing and pray and lift up our hearts to receive the fullness of Him Who came to give us life!

Maranatha!

This Wednesday – December 23rdNo Family Time & No Bible Study

In view of our Christmas Eve celebration, we decided to cancel Wednesday activities to allow for extra time for whatever preparations your family makes for Christmas.

Anniversaries this week: Manu & Leslie Florescu (22nd)

Bible Reading

Originally, we were going to have our Bible Reading as normal throughout this coming week. However, on a second consideration, I decided to cancel the readings for this week as Tuesday Leslie & I will be celebrating our 20th year anniversary and she’s been sharing me with the Church for just as many years so I thought it would be wise to reserve that day exclusively for her. On Friday is Christmas Day and we’ll be having guests over (shhh,… ) and most likely they’ll be visiting past the reading time. Thank you for understanding, we’ll resume on the 29th.

Offering

Don’t forget, for your convenience and safety you can still make your offering on line at http://ww.troychurch.net/give

We will not pass an offering tray/plate around. If you want to make your offering via cash or check please place it in the offering tray/plate as you exit the auditorium. Thank you.

Christmas Eve Service – December 24th from 4:30PM

We will have a Christmas Eve Service as usual at 4:30PM on Christmas Eve. It will be a candlelight service, as in the past, with few added safety measures against Covid spread in the hope that we will have more of those we’ve not been able to see throughout this strange year attend. Attendance is by registration only. LAST DAY TO REGISTER, DECEMBER 21st! Please visit www.troychurch.net and follow the link on the front page circular for more information on the Candlelight Service.

As there is no 100% proof safety method, we will still videocast the service on Zoom for those who are not able to attend.

Children’s Party – TODAY after morning services

Lora & Keith, thank you once again on behalf of all the families with children for putting on the party last Sunday. We and the kids had fun and are grateful for your love and service to our families!
