Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning! I pray your Sunday morning is off to a peace filled start. Thank you in advance for being a part of Troy Church Worship Service (in person or over Zoom) this last October Sunday. I will be joining all of you via zoom as I am returning from Evansville, Indiana. Thank you, Pat, Jules and Kyle, for your support and I look forward to your leadership in this morning’s worship service.

Every Sunday I ask myself two questions. 1. What is the bottom-line thing I want God to receive from me this morning; and 2. What is the bottom-line thing I want those around me to receive from me. These two questions help me put myself in the frame of mind that allows me to worship and engage in a way that I believe brings glory to God while at the same time benefiting the Church and my heart at maximum. What are you asking yourself this morning?

This Wednesday – October 28^th – Family Time & Bible Study

Wednesday I invite those of you who are willing to come join us at the building from 6:00 PM for our Family Time dinner. Bring your takeout or brown bag at the building and have it together with us.

From 7:00 PM we will continue the remarkably interesting study of the Book of Genesis following the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager as facilitated by Charles.

Last week I forgot to check the calendar for birthdays, and I apologize to Lisa, Alanda and Melissa. I hope you all had wonderful birthdays and I pray for a best year of life ahead for each one of you. Lisa, we should have sung Happy Birthday to you last Sunday. I am sorry!

Bible Reading

I invite you to join us in the journey of reading the entire Bible chronologically following the Chronological NIV Study Bible. We are at chapter 16 and we read on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 7:30 PM to 8:00PM.

We hope and pray that everyone is doing well today and staying safe. 

This year we have been impacted greatly by COVID and are in need of your help.  We are in need of folks to come out to camp and help us do some fall maintenance and keep things looking great. Several small projects are: Trim Trails; Trim up dead branches on pine trees for new activity areas;  Split wood; Rake or blow leaves as they begin to fall; Create pad sites for picnic tables

November 1, 7, 8, 14, and 15.  Again, weekdays are good as well.
