Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

I pray you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration with your families and/or friends and were able to create some special memories to keep you warm during the rest of the winter and a lifetime.

We are only a few days away from welcoming a new year. 2022 is upon us with promises filtered through the sober lens of skepticism driven by the events that have changed our world since almost two years now. Regardless of how 2022 will turn out to be, as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ, Who overcame the world, we must stand faithful to the end, in an ever increasingly hostile world to our beliefs. We must not forget however that our weapons are not the weapons of the world. Each one of us must strive to be more loving, more forgiving, more open about our faith and those things that God is doing in our lives. Being more loving and forgiving are personal decisions, but their success is completely dependent on our Lord Jesus. Allow Him this year to be the love and forgiveness you offer. You will see miracles happen!

This Wednesday – December 29th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.

Birthday this week: Jon Balun (29th)

Thank you to all who have reached out with corrections and additions for the 2022 calendar. Please keep them coming.

Jon Balun

During our worship service today, Jon Balun, based on the congregational feedback received, will be ordained to the Ministry of a Chaplain. This is a non-paid, volunteer ministry position without any congregational leadership responsibilities. Jon has agreed to minister to the needs of the congregation on a case-by-case basis in addition to his ministry as a Chaplain at Fraser House.
