Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

This morning we are entering the most beautiful season of the year, the season of Advent. As we decorate our homes, our offices and our churches we declare to the whole world our faith not only in the events that transpired so long ago, but also in the events that are to come as our Savior Jesus Christ will come once again to us. We start our celebration of this season with the lighting of the candle of HOPE and as we light it, we let its light warm our hearts for we know that our HOPE does not deceive us for the God we worship is a faithful God Who keeps and fulfills His promises at the perfect time. For two thousand years Christians have been waiting for that moment and all we know is that it is at hand. As the years march one after the other, we need to remember that God is not late, that He is not delaying. He gave us HOPE for a reason…for our NOW.

This Wednesday – November 30th – Family Time & Christmas Prep

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will prepare our building for the Christmas season. Please join us to set up the Christmas Tree, lights, and other decorations as we listen to and sing carols.

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday - 7:15PM-7:45PM

Please join us as we read through the New Testament. This week we will read on Monday and on Thursday as per the usual schedule.

Town Hall Meeting – Next week 12:30PM

Next week, after services we will have our Town Hall meeting. I will order pizza from Hungry Howie’s, including gluten free. It would be great if someone can bring a salad to share for those who are not pizza fans.
