Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Happy Independence Day to you and Kαλό μήνα (Kalo Mina), A Good New Month to you!

Thank you for being with us this morning as we gather to worship God for our Freedom in Christ. Unlike our earthly freedoms, our freedom in Christ is not temporary and it is not in danger because of human ego and desire for power and political gain. It is based on the promise of God and His faithfulness and all we are asked to do is to believe it. To believe that a life of freedom is better than a life of slavery and to be willing to let go of the chains. As we come together this morning let us remember that and let us remember that those who found this country did so on these lofty ideals that all man were created equal in the sight of our God and endowed with unalienable rights such as that of living free. Free to worship, free to pursue the destiny God has laid before each on of us. Let us, as Paul urges us in Galatians 5:1 “not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Let us not fall asleep while the enemy is on the prowl. Let us gather in faith and worship the Lord!

This Wednesday – July 7^th –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible Study.

From 7PM, in person and via Zoom, we will continue our journey through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Anniversaries this week: Karl & Robin Randall (6^th).

Bi-Weekly Bible Reading Group – Correction

It was pointed out to me that I made a mistake in this announcement last week and that our Bible Reading is not suspended but that the group is reading Joshua and Judges on our own through July and August. When we reconvene in September, we will begin with Ruth.

Adult & Children Bible Classes (in case you missed it)

Sunday School classes for both, adult and children will resume in September, after Labor Day, when we will return to our normal schedule; Sunday Bible Class 10AM – 11AM; Worship 11AM.

Please let Keith, Pat or Manu know if you are willing to be involved in teaching or assistant teaching Bible Classes on Sunday as well as on Wednesday. Manu will be teaching one of the Children classes and would welcome an assistant. We will have a cradle roll class and based on the availability of teachers we may have an extra class to better accommodate the different ages of children in our congregation.

Please prayerfully seek God’s guidance toward this ministry and get in touch with Keith, Pat or Manu if you feel God leading you in this direction to minister.
