Minister’s Memo:

Welcome to this, second Sunday worship gathering of 2019! The great thing about walking with God in life is that there is always the opportunity to start anew - God always offers us a new day and a new dawn, no matter what has gone before. At the start of the New Year, why not take a moment to thank Him for last year, ask His forgiveness for where you have failed, and dedicate this new year to Him - to serve Him and love Him afresh.

A good way of reviewing the year ahead is to write down the main areas of your life (e.g. work - family - friends - church - leisure etc.) and then think about what God might want to do in these areas during the next year. Once you've done this you might want to share this with your partner or a close friend and give your decisions over to God in prayer.

Allow me to say this prayer over you: Father God, You make all things new. You bring hope alive in our hearts and cause our souls to be born again. Thank you for this new year and for all the potential it holds. Come and kindle in us a mighty flame so that in our time, many will see Your wonders in us and live forever to praise Your glorious Name.

Amen

This Wednesday – January 16th – Family Time & Gospel of John Reading

This Wednesday please come at 6:00PM for an hour of fellowship. Bring your dinner and eat as you fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ discussing life & current events.

From 7:00PM, we will continue the study in 1 Peter with Kyle Idelman and Keith’s leadership.

From Mike & Heather DeMaggio

Dear Church, we are going to try and make it to the church services today. We have all been continually getting sick since Thanksgiving. Heather just got diagnosed with a stomach infection and she has had a bad month. If we don’t make it, I want to make sure a prayer request gets in for my sister Gina. She was diagnosed with breast cancer this week and will be talking with a surgeon on Wednesday. This is scary enough but with her advanced MS it is even worse for her to have surgery.

From Manu

Thank you for your prayers and support while I was in Brazil. I missed you all and hope you had a wonderfully uplifting and meaningful time together last Sunday. My thoughts and prayers were with you that God may bless each and every one of you with abundant peace, love and perfect togetherness as you started this new year and worshiped together.

Ministry Needs

As we start this new year I wanted to make you aware of some ministry needs. I know that Nadya is putting a list together for the Wiggle Room. Please make sure to talk to her and grab a spot if they are not all filled. There are 52 Sundays in 2019 (I think) and I have to believe that most of us are perfectly capable to fill a couple for the year. Thank you in advance!

Also, the children’s Bible Class in the mornings will need a teacher. I know that Leslie, Pamela, Lora and Nadya will try to fill that need but I beg of you to support them as well, even if it is just to be in the class and assist one of them . You will be blessed and who knows, you may discover some things God has in store for you…

Thank you!
