Minister’s Welcome

Χριστός ἀνέστη! Hristos A-nviat! Christ is risen!

Ἀληθῶς ἀνέστη! Adevarat A-nviat! Truly He is risen!

Whether in Greek, Romanian, English or another of the 6,500 languages spoken in the world today, the ancient greeting of the Easter Morning has been heard throughout millennia as Christians celebrate this chief of events on our calendars.

It is with the same greeting that I welcome you this morning at the worship gathering of the Troy Church. Christ is Risen!!! This morning the tomb is still empty, His enemy still defeated and our promise and hope still alive and well. Today, more than any other time during the year we focus our attention to the event that sent trembles the world over and proved to all who have ears to hear, that Jesus was the Christ, the long-awaited Messiah, Savior of humanity, Restorer of peace between God and mankind. We gather this morning to honor His sacrifice and to encourage one another to show the awaiting world that He is Risen Indeed! Today we will talk about one man who witnessing the resurrected Christ found not just the hope of the eternal life but true meaning for this life. What does Christ’s resurrection mean for you?
