Minister’s Welcome

Good morning and welcome to today’s worship fellowship, or gathering, of the Troy Church. I am excited to welcome you and I pray that today you will be blessed with peace, strength and a love that will encourage and surprise you. God loves you! and so do we!

We are surely and steadily trekking through September at quite a clip. It seems like the month just started and looking at the calendar it’s end will be upon us in no time at all. Days go by so fast… What are they filled with? What do you let in your day to consume the precious time God allows you to make memories here, in this life? Almost every week I hear of another one of us graduating, and I am certain that Heaven has a revolving door because with it’s incredible number of daily arrivals, any other type of door would make a huge draft, cold draft… Are we living the best life available to us? Do we even know what that is? And if we don’t, where do we find the answers? Who doesn’t like a party? BUT how do we really throw a party?

Let’s talk about it for a little bit. I look forward sharing with you!

This Wednesday – September 19^th Family Time & Small Group

Please come Wednesday at 6:00PM for our family time where we all bring our own take out to enjoy in the fellowship of our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Church at its beginnings spent A LOT of time together sharing meals, praying and being in the Word. Today we may think this unimportant, a low priority, but believe me, PRAYER,  FELLOWSHIP and studying the Word together are extremely important to the unity and success of the church. This Wednesday we will continue our Small Group Ministry which is a class designed for clarification and instruction on small groups as we start our new ministry.

Volleyball this evening – 6 PM

We’ve not really managed to play a lot of volleyball this summer with busy schedules, travels and events. This evening we would like to get together and play a game or two, listen to Christian music, fellowship and just have a good time. Please make plans to attend.

Baby Boy Appolson Potluck Shower

TODAY , right after services there will be a potluck welcome for baby Lena Ann McCauley. They do have a baby registry on Amazon (www.amazon.baby-reg). Please join us as we celebrate with the McCauleys and BIG sister Ada

Community Celebration – Thank you!

To all of you who braved the rain and cold and soldiered through the weather to make our Community Celebration yet another success – THANK YOU!!! As I prayed for the right weather, I kept wondering what God is showing us through the weather we had. A week earlier? Hot and perfect for Water slide. Today? Perfect for water slide as well. Last week? Not so much! BUT in faith, I believe it was just right. I’ve seen more and deeper fellowship among you and even among our guests and us. Instead of chasing children all over the place we had time to sit down and talk. I’ve met two delightful couples (families) with whom I was able to fellowship and talk more than on any of the events before. So again, thank you for volunteering, thank you for cooking, thank you for staying and being here! THANK YOU!
