Good morning and welcome to the gathering of the Troy Church on this first Sunday after Easter. I pray that in your hearts, the implications and imperatives of our Lord’s resurrection are still impactful. Late last night, we all learned that Geneva Jones, beloved daughter of this congregation, has finished the race having been called home to enter God’s glory. As unexpected and shocking as it was and as much as Geneva will be missed we are all grateful for her precious contribution to the life of this congregation. Yesterday, more than ever, the fact that Jesus conquered death made all the difference. It makes all the difference for us as although Geneva will be dearly missed we will not mourn as those without hope but as those whose FAITH is the reality of our hope and the proof of that which we cannot see. We thank Joseph and Geneva Jones once more for their dedication and contribution to this community of God’s people and look forward to celebrating with them our reunion in heaven. Let’s encourage one another to continue the race as we sing, pray and share Christ’s communion and God’s word.
This Wednesday – April 26th – Ravi Zacharias video series – 7:00PM
This Wednesday, we will continue the series which is lead by Gene Cowie. This is a series focused on some of the debates of Ravi Zecharias, filmed at Michigan State University.

Ladies’ Prayer & Share Group – April
All ladies are encouraged to attend the “Share and Prayer” meeting next Saturday, April 29th at 10:30 a.m. at the church building. The purpose of these meetings is to identify needs of our church family members, to discuss how to help meet these needs and to pray for God’s guidance and help in these efforts. It is not necessary to commit to attending each time. Please come whenever possible.
Congregational Breakfast & Community Clean-Up – Next Saturday
Next Saturday I invite you to come at 9:00AM for a congregational breakfast after which we will walk the community around the church building and pick up trash from the side of the roads, ditches, bushes, etc. This is one of the ways we show that we care about this neighborhood.
Please join us even if you are not able to walk and do the clean-up as this is also a prayer ministry for this community and before we venture out we will be praying for the community and the people we try to serve.
We are looking for volunteers to join the Worship Committee. There will be a signup sheet in the foyer
