Minister’s Corner

Good morning on this last Sunday of October. And just so, another month is gone, and we are one month closer to 2020. Thank you for being here this morning. We’ve been on a long journey of learning and training on true discipleship and I pray that as we near the end of this 1^st phase you all find yourselves closer to God and to one another. Soon, we will switch gears and immerse ourselves on a new quest seeking Jesus, the Christ. That we may KNOW Him. May God bless our search and open our eyes to Him in a way they’ve never been opened before.

Great things are happening in the Kingdom and Jesus promised that the gates of hell will not overcome it. In the year 2021, after about 40 years, the Crusade for Christ is returning to Detroit. The congregations of metro Detroit will be joining hands in a combine effort to make Christ known in this area as never before. Our bootcamp and efforts to be purposeful in our discipleship falls right in line with this effort. One more evidence that the Holy Spirit was at work even before we knew it.

Let’s immerse ourselves in today’s worship and praise Him for our God is indeed Great!

This Wednesday – October 30^th – Family Time & Peak of the Week

This Wednesday we will meet at 6:00 PM for our Family Time. You are invited to bring your dinner brown bag/take out and enjoy it alongside other brothers and sisters as we chat about life and faith.

From 7:00 PM we will continue our study series on Prayer with the second sermon from Matt Chandler. .

Bible Break – Ladies Bible Study – Tuesdays from 9:30 AM

The Ladies’ Bible Break Class meet on Tuesdays, at 9:30 AM. The study is called “A light in the Darkness” (so relevant to the times we live in) and focuses on Elijah and Elisha. In addition to the Bible, a study book by Casandra Martin will be used. There will be no charge for the books. We welcome all to attend, so invite your family and friends. Any who have been a part of Bible Break would tell you: “YOU WILL BE BLESSED.”

Town Hall – 2020 Planning – TODAY – 12:30 PM

Please plan to stay today for our October Potluck, Town Hall, Birthdays and Anniversaries from 12:30 PM.

Church Praise Team

November 2, at 10 am. We are having a singing practice for anyone who would like to sing with the praise team.  We will use this time to practice some new songs and to allow those who are new to singing with a group and in a microphone some practice using a mic.

Fall Fest @ Troy Church – Canceled for 2019

My sincere thanks to the couple of you who expressed interest in helping with this ministry. However, due to insufficient interest and a lack of reaching the minimum required volunteers for the hosting of this event I decided to cancel it for this year. Be a good neighbor in your own neighborhoods, it may be the only time a year you might be meeting some of your neighbors.

Area-wide Singing Night

Area-wide Singing Night on Saturday, November 2nd beginning at 7:00 pm at the Parkview Church of Christ (3333 E. Thirteen Mile Road in Warren). Let’s get a Worship ON !
