Minister’s Welcome

Good morning! Thank you for choosing Troy Church of Christ for your place of worship this morning. I pray that you will connect with God and those around you in a way that will lift up your soul and free your mind of the burdens life constantly piles on our shoulders.

Today is our Family Worship and our children will be in the worship service with us the entire time. As a reminder, we do this so that we can, at least once a month, model to our children, congregational worship. We are the best illustrations of Scripture that our children can witness and therefore it is days like this that are extremely important. Take time to encourage the children as they worship with us. Encourage them to singing, to prayer, or as they participate in Scripture reading and Communion. Let’s illustrate to them that a worship experience is only as moving, as uplifting, as meaningful as the amount of self we put into it, that a true worship experience is not driven by the music, the prayer, the comments, etc. but by a heart of worship, a heart that desires to show its gratitude to the God Who created it, Who redeemed it and Who continuously blesses it. Key word: Gratitude!

This Wednesday – August 31^st - What IF?

Invite your friends! This week we continue our 5 weeks video series called WHAT IF? If is a powerful little word. Some people are stuck in "if only," trudging through lives marked with regret. But God wants us to live lives marked with possibilities, with the "what if" attitude that looks forward to the future with confidence. Why? Because the answer to "If God is for us, who can be against us?" is "No one." God is always on our side. Every day, in every way.

With his trademark enthusiasm and contagious joy, Mark Batterson helps us overcome feelings of guilt, fear, and doubt because in Christ there is no condemnation. Unpacking the promises of Romans 8, he shows us that we are more than conquerors—right now and forever. And because of that, the possibilities for our lives are limitless.

Before that we will enjoy dinner together from 6:00PM and the cooking Team for this week is Team 6 – Linda & Ron, Nancy, Bethany, Leah & Luke, Nadya & Pat

Abygail Ministries

Today, at the end of the service we will have a presentation from Abygail Ministries about an opportunity to minister, through this ministry, to the unwed mothers that Abygail Ministries rescues.

Baby Shower – DeMaggio Babies – TODAY

The congregational baby shower for the DeMaggio family will take place today right after the morning services. They are registered at: Target, Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us

Easter European Mission – Annual Collection – September 25th

This year, the annual collection date for the Bibles printed and distributed by the Eastern European Mission is on September 25th. Please make preparations to give at that time to this worthy cause.
