Minister’s Welcome

Good morning and thank you for being here today. Your presence is an encouragement to all who are here today. We, each, have come from different events and circumstances of the past week and are all here with the desire to thank God as we seek His face, His blessing and His encouragement for the coming week. Looking around and seeing you re-enforces the amazing work that God is doing in us through Christ. As I look at you, I see the reality of God’s Holy Spirit moving in the world, directing our lives, helping us battle His enemy as we embrace life in God’s grace.

Today we are talking about the Gospel, the true and really Good News of God’s love and transforming power available to us in full. May God bless your presence here with Peace & Strength.

This Wednesday – August 2^nd – Peak of the Week & Family Time

This Wednesday come be with us from 6PM. Bring your favorite take-out and let’s eat together as we talk life, spending time as a family should, gathered around the table.

During the Peak of the Week, the hour following our dinner we will continue the Exodus, Patterns of Evidence documentary we started last week. Even if you’ve not seen the first part please come, you will learn eye opening truths about the evidence of the history recorded in the Bible.

VBS

Signup sheets are out, please sign up if you want to be a part of this year’s VBS (no matter how small a part). We will have an informational meeting today after services.

The dates for our VBS are August 7^th through 11^th and I hope you are making plans to be a part of it. We are trying to gather all items that could help our decors; western country clothing, hats, wagon wheels, fake plants, fake rocks, antique pots, anything that would help us transform our auditorium into a pioneer’s camp. Volleyball & Pickleball – TODAY from 6:30PM

Weather permitting, please join us this evening for Volleyball (we have a new net – YAY!) Pickleball (thank you Jim Clary) and Christian Music (thank you Pandora). If you don’t want to play either just bring your lawn chair, sit in the shade, listen to Christian Music and amuse yourselves with our impressive skills.

One of the keys to the 1^st Century Churches strength was the time spent together so come on out and have a good time.

CELEBRATING WITH THE WARREN OJA FAMILY

Recently Warren and Elizabeth Oja welcomed the births of their identical twin daughters Iris and Heather. The Troy church family wishes to congratulate and celebrate with Warren and Elizabeth. Warren grew up in this church, and we look forward to continued fellowship with him and his family whenever possible.

We will send a church gift to them as a blessing and reminder of the love and fellowship we share. Anyone interested in participating in this gift, please see or contact Mary Alice Cowie or Nancy Schroeder. Thank you.
