Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you for joining us this rainy Michigan fall morning. We’ve gathered to worship together. By its definition, worship is expressing praise and gratitude and thus it requires one to focus on those things in his/her life that are considered blessings. There is a song that says: “Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God has done.” So today, I invite you to count your blessings as we gather to worship. Often times when I do that, I experience a realignment in my attitude, in my mental well-being, in my perspective of the present but also of the future. May God bless us today with His presence and may His Spirit fill us with hope and joy as we worship together.

This Wednesday – October 16^th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will have a time of study led by Manu.

Li Juncai – New prisoner for your prayer list

As we remove John Cao with gratitude to God, we are adding Li Juncai who has been in prison, in China, for 2,063 days. He is serving a 5 ½ years sentence for protesting against the government for trying to remove the cross atop his church building. Please pray for his strength, faith and the work he now does in prison.

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday from 7:15PM

Please plan to join our Bible Reading group. This session they will be reading through the New Testament. You can use the same Zoom link as you use to join the services on Sunday morning. .

Church of Christ Care Center – November 3rd

Thank you to all of you who joined us at the Care Center last Sunday. Troy church was well represented, and I am positive God was pleased with your service and sacrifice in uplifting the senior citizens there. THANK YOU. November 3^rd is our next date.

Ukraine fundraiser – TODAY – October 13^th

We are planning a Ukrainian fundraiser bake sale today after the services. My friend Tanya from Ukraine is a director of Christian Schools, and she requested funds for notebook computers for her staff. Due to constant blackouts in Ukraine its hard to keep computers working smoothly. In spite of the war, new Christian schools are still being opened in Ukraine! Thank you for your support ~Nadya
