Minister’s Corner
Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!
Good morning, and welcome! As we continue our Advent journey, we pause once again to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. Advent invites us not only to look back to the manger, but also forward with expectation—to remember what God has done and to trust what He has promised to do.
Today we light the Candle of Faith, which is not part of the traditional Advent arrangement, but one we have chosen intentionally. God’s great love for us gives birth to hope, and it is our faith in that hope that sustains us as we wait. Faith is trusting God’s promises even when we cannot yet see their fulfillment. Just as God sent His Son at the perfect moment in history, we also look forward in faith to Christ’s return in glory, at a time of God’s perfect choosing. May this season strengthen our faith and anchor our hearts firmly in the promises of our faithful God.
This Wednesday – 17th December – 6PM Dinner – 7PM Bible Class
Please make plans to join us for our BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) mid-week Fellowship at 6PM on Wednesday. This is a great time to connect, strengthen relationships and catch up with one another.
From 7PM we will have a Bible Class continuing our 2 Peter study.
Birthdays this week: Ron Palmer (14th); Pat Oja (15th); Brendan Lay (16th)
Bible Break – Tuesday, December 16th – 10AM
The Bible Break ladies’ Bible meets every Tuesday with 9:45AM coffee & social time. Study starts at 10AM and ends at 11:30AM. This season the ladies will be focusing on the Hebrews text of the New Testament. Invite a friend!
