Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Thank you for joining us this day as we’ve gathered to worship. It is the third Sunday of Advent and we will be talking about LOVE today as we light up this candle of LOVE. We light this candle as a reminder that God so loved the world that He indeed gave us His One and only Son. The Father, our God, beats out all gift givers everywhere in gifting us Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us, and even more than that, GOD IN US. As I sit and write these words I am once again taken captive by this thought, by this incomprehensible mystery that God, the only God, supreme over creation, all-powerful, absolutely holy, can have anything to do with me, much less that He indwells me. God’s glory resides within my soul, how can it be? And yet, it is for He so says, and although we might not amount to much as far as the world thinks, you & I are worth the most precious gift heaven can ever offer. Remember God’s love!

This Wednesday – December 18th – Fellowship Dinner & Mid-Week Bible Study

From 6:00PM we will get together for our fellowship dinner. This is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) type of event. It’s our family time of getting to fellowship and “take a load off.”

From 7:00PM we will have a bible study led by Manu.

Birthdays this week: Pat Oja (15th)

Bible Break – Ladies Bible Study – Tuesday 10:00AM

Every Tuesday morning, a group of ladies from different congregations joins a group of our ladies for a Bible class. Currently studying Romans. Please invite any of the ladies you know.

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday from 7:15PM

Please plan to join our Bible Reading group. This session they will be reading through the New Testament. You can use the same Zoom link as you use to join the services on Sunday morning.

Church of Christ Care Center – January 5th.

Our next service date for the Church of Christ Care Center is January 5th. Please plan on attending and please let Pat or Manu know if you would like to be involved in any capacity. You can lead songs, lead prayers, lead Communion, etc. This is a great way to be of service and to love on Jesus by loving on His people.

Christmas Eve Service & Christmas Dinner

Please make plans to attend our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 4:30PM on the 24th. The service will be followed by our Christmas Dinner. A BIG THANK YOU to Charles & Maureen who have agreed to facilitate this year’s Christmas Dinner yet again. If you want to help, please get in touch with Charles.
