Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning! Thank you for worshiping with us this morning as we endeavor to reach up to God with our prayers and songs and as we strive to strengthen our faith and understanding through the study of His word. I pray that today God will grant you the answers to the things you’ve been asking of Him. That being said, I am saying that I pray today is the day to surrender completely to Him. It’s been said that the only way to truly experience God’s grace is in total surrender. In the total surrender of our individual strength and stubbornness to believe that we just might be good enough to deserve for Him to save us. We meet God on our terms, we live our Christian lives on our terms, and it is on our terms that we offer our service to God. The Apostle Paul said he considered everything in life as rubbish compared to the possibility of knowing Christ. How much do you want to know Jesus? How much are you willing to give up to know Him?

This Wednesday – January 18th – Family Time & Singing

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will spend some time in worshipping through song.

Birthdays this week: Caleb Simmons (21st)

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday – 7:15PM

We are currently reading through 2 Samuel. Please join us.

Ladies’ Day at Royal Oak Church of Christ – January 21st

This coming Saturday Royal Oak Church of Christ is hosting Ladies’ Day Conference, with Becky Blackmon from Waco, Texas. It starts at 9:00AM – there is a flyer on the bulletin board

MCYC (Michigan Christian Youth Camp)

Many of you may be familiar with the MCYC. Recently we received a letter asking for financial support to the camp due to the inflation pressures the camp is experiencing. As some of you may not know anything about MCYC we’ve invited the Chairman of the Board of MCYC to come on January 29th and introduce us to the camp and also preach for us.

Offering

This morning you can make your offering in the plate at the back of the auditorium, or you can as always have the option to make your offering online at https://troychurch.net/give

If neither one of these options are suitable, please send a check to Lisa Jones. Her address is in the directory. Thank you.

We bring our requests to you O Lord:

For those who have suffered loss: Oja & Pryludko Families, Wright Family; Clary Family; Price Family (Little Timmy’s Family)

For those healing: Kerry Appolson; Fred & Barb Oja, Linda Palmer,  Pat Zurlinden, Landon Oja.

For the people of Ukraine

“Humility is understanding that how you encountered God does not completely define God.”
