Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and a Happy Father’s Day to all the dads at Troy Church! Know that you are loved and appreciated and countless prayers of gratitude are continuously raised to the throne of grace because of you! Thank you for all you do to be the type of father that our Heavenly Father exemplifies.

Although the modern Father’s Day is a 20^th century tradition, in many cultures celebrating fathers is lost in the dawn of history. 4,000 years ago, Babylonian children would carve messages for their fathers on clay tables. Even though it pales in comparison with Mother’s Day, it is still responsible for some $20 billion in spending annually.

As we go through the day and we celebrate our earthly fathers, let’s not forget to celebrate our Heavenly Father, who should by right, get all our praise and gratitude.

This Wednesday – 18^th June – Fellowship Dinner & Bible Class – 6:00PM

Please make plans to join us for our BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) mid-week Fellowship at 6PM on Wednesday. This is a great time to connect, strengthen relationships and catch up with one another.

From 7PM we will begin a new study through 1 Peter led by Manu.

Giveaway – Postponed – Date TBD

Shana asked that we postpone the Giveaway for a date yet to be determined in June. Please contact Shana for any details.

Troy VBS – Jonah’s Journey – August 4^th-8^th, 10AM – 12PM

We will have Jonah’s Journey VBS at our church this year, August 4-8, 10am – 12pm. If you are interested in helping us decorate it, organize it, or run it, we would love your help and involvement! You can contact Pat, Nadya, or Linda. Also, you can make donations toward our prizes and water slide (cash or checks to Troy Church of Christ, earmarked VBS). Please, join us in prayer for this wonderful ministry to help our youth discover God in fun and exciting ways to make a lasting impact on their eternal souls!

Church of Christ Care Center – July 6th

Please mark your schedules and plan attending the Care Center worship with us on July 6^th. Let Pat or Manu know if you would like to serve in any specific area during the worship (song leading, communion, offering, preaching). Thank you in advance!
