Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

A Happy Father’s Day to our God and Father and a Happy Father’s Day to all of you Dads out there! Thank you!!!

I pray that as you open this bulletin God blesses you with real peace and that the Spirit is preparing your heart for an encounter with God in worship exactly as your heart needs for it to be. As we celebrate fathers today, we celebrate the Father Who is the standard and the model of all fathers. We celebrate Him, and them, because of His and their dedication to their children in a never-ending cycle of sacrifice driven by the desire that His children succeed. Success, as determined by our Father is not given by wealth but by FAITH, just as John the Apostle testifies in 3 John 4 “4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” Let us walk in truth this day as we glorify the Giver of life and life eternal. Let us worship the Father!

This Wednesday – June 23^rd –Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, from 6PM bring your takeout over to the Church Building for our Family Time. Several of our number get together and have dinner together before our 7 o’clock Bible Study.

From 7PM, in person and via Zoom, we will continue our journey through the book Genesis – God, Creation and Destruction by Dennis Prager.

Bi-Weekly Bible Reading Group –

Please join us for our bi-weekly Bible Reading. This week it takes place, as usual, on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30PM to 8:00PM.

2T4C Bible Study

Today being Father’s Day, we will not get together unless no Father’s Day plans exist during the 5:30PM-6:30PM period. Please let me know.

Reminder

A quick reminder that during four of the evenings of the week you can hop online to be with your brothers and sisters. Regardless of whether or not I am online on Tuesday & Thursday there is Bible Reading, on Wednesday there is a Genesis study from a Jewish perspective and on Saturday there is a half an hour of prayer. Although we are united as one body in Christ, unity does not happen when we don’t spend time together and Zoom has provided to us the father of all conveniences in bringing the church body together. It gives me great joy when I pop online during one of these times and people are meeting and talking and great sadness when I pop online, and nobody is there. The Bible urges us to encourage one another in faith and it is a pity if we don’t realize that this is one way you can easily live that command out. A quick pointer: “how does this benefit me?” is not the right question to ask when it comes to being with the church.
