Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and thank you for being with us this morning at the Troy Church worship gathering. The reason this is a worship gathering and not a worship service is because we are gathered to worship together. This is a self-serve kind of congregation. We believe strongly that one gets out of the worship exactly what one puts into it. We don’t call it a worship service because none of us are coming here to be served. We come to serve. We come to serve one another in love and in so doing we are blessed by others loving us as we love them. Sometimes we tend to forget that the entire Scripture and the entire Law are founded on LOVE. Love for God and love for each other. Love calls us to service, sure, but ultimately our service, out of love, becomes worship to God. Let us therefore focus not on what doesn’t work, or what is lacking, but focus on the plenty that God fills our hearts with and thus worship out of grateful hearts unto the Lord. Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

This Wednesday – July 24^th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, Study of Jesus’ parables led by Charles Tomes.

VBS – THANK YOU

On behalf of the leadership of the Troy Church I want to thank Nadya for leading an excellent VBS this week. I also want to thank ALL the volunteers and their valuable contributions to a memorable week for young and old. I say it with all confidence that Jesus is pleased with the worship you’ve brought to God through your service to the children of Troy Church and their friends! THANK YOU!

Church of Christ Care Center – in two weeks

Our next worship at the Care Center is on August 4^th. Please make plans to attend. Please arrive at 1:45ish. Service starts at 2PM but being early is a great way to shake some hands and show a bit of love to the residents of the Care Center.

Bible Study

If you would like an individual, one on one, Bible study on a certain subject, please send me an email at manu@troychurch.net and we can arrange a weekly meeting. Space is limited so first come, first served.
