Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and welcome to this new day when we have the opportunity to gather as the church and worship our Creator and Savior. I know of Christians for whom, unthinkably, getting ready and going to church seems to be an inconvenience and a chore. All the while, around the world there are brothers and sisters in Christ incarcerated for having broken the law and were caught attending church services. I believe, that being able to gather as the church is a privilege. A privilege that someday in the future we will have no more. I believe that those of us who would rather not be in the community of the church on Sunday morning, discount the spiritual blessing that comes from being able to be in the presence of Christ and the Holy Spirit. That however also shows that it is possible to gather with the church and feel not, neither the Holy Spirit, nor the presence of Christ our Savior. Where is your focus this morning?

This Wednesday – January 25^th – Family Time & Games Night

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will spend an hour playing games as a family. Bring your favorite game and share with the rest.

Furniture from Natalie Randall’s Office

If anyone is interested in the furniture from Natalie Randall’s old office please let Charles Tomes know. He is in the process of remodeling that room.

MCYC (Michigan Christian Youth Camp)

Many of you may be familiar with the MCYC. Recently we received a letter asking for financial support to the camp due to the inflation pressures the camp is experiencing. As some of you may not know anything about MCYC we’ve invited the Chairman of the Board of MCYC to come on January 29^th and introduce us to the camp and also preach for us.
