Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Allow me to wish you A Happy New Year 2022 as I pray to our good Lord to bless you and your loved ones with a year of memorable moments of success and joy, of transformation and growth, of strength and stronger faith! May you be always a positive influence on all those you meet and may through you the world see, recognize, and desire our Lord’s fellowship.

As we turn a new calendar leaf and get accustomed to writing 2022 instead of 2021, we are switching gears and starting a new series of lessons. This series is not topical but expository as we will unfold the Scripture of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Colossae. “I want you to know how hard I am contending for you…” Paul writes in the beginning of chapter 2 of this letter. As the minister of Troy Church, I am often weighed down by the responsibility I have to Christ and His Church in preaching the Gospel. This letter is Paul’s written account of all we as a Church need to know to grow and triumph in and with Christ. I look forward sharing with you & thank you for joining us today!

This Wednesday – January 5th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the new study on the subject of suffering lead by Caleb Simmons. Please join us in person and on Zoom for this insightful study.

Birthday this week: Foy Palmer (2nd); Beth Clary (6th)

Zoom Bible Reading

As the new year has started, I was thinking to send out a signal into the congregation and see how many of you would be willing to re-start our Zoom Bible reading. I am currently available on Monday’s and Thursday’s from 7PM to 7:30PM.

For those of you who have not been a part of this before, this is only a Bible reading together time. No commentaries or debates about the text. Just a quick prayer for the reading, reading 3 chapters, another quick prayer of blessing and everyone goes to their evening.

Please reach out to me via email or text and let me know if you are interested in this on-line Bible reading activity.
