Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Welcome to our worship gathering this new morning of a new month. I realize that before I had time to get accustomed to writing 2024 in the dates I write on checks, we already find ourselves in the middle of the year. It is unbelievable how fast time moves. The Bible, in the letter to Ephesians is asking us to “redeem the times, for they are evil.” To “make the most of every opportunity and to live as wise, not us unwise.” It also tells us that the Lord’s will is that we “speak to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit making melody from our hearts to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:15-20) In this fast pace moving society where the thoughts of our hearts are directed toward self-satisfaction, God is asking us to redeem the times. To redeem the times by our love as we turn from being self-centered to being God-centered which means people-centered for that is God’s focus. Jesus says that God is at work to this very day, and so should we be, and His work is people!

This Wednesday – June 5^th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, We will continue to study Jesus’ parables led by Charles.

VBS – July 15-19, 2024 – 9:30AM – 12:00PM.

Get ready for our VBS 2024 – Hometown Nazareth! We will have it on July 15-19, 9:30am – 12:00pm. Please, let Nadya or Patrick Oja know if you would like to volunteer with preparation or the actual event. We would appreciate your prayer support as we minister to our kids and those in the neighborhood! Thank you!

Church of Christ Care Center – Troy Church led worship service @ 2PM

Our congregation will be responsible for leading the worship every 1^st Sunday of each month at the Church of Christ Care Center. Please come out and support this ministry of love to the older folks. 23621 15 Mile Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48035 Please be there by 1:45PM. It is a 30 min drive from the church building.

Bible Study

If you would like an individual, one on one, Bible study on a certain subject, please send me an email at manu@troychurch.net and we can arrange to meet weekly. Space is limited so first come, first served.

Nadya Oja expressed her desire to study one on one with any of the ladies who may desire to have a Bible Study. Please reach out to Nadya directly or to me if you don’t have her contact and we can arrange it.
