Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Once again, I get to greet you with the Kαλό μήνα (Kalo Mina) Good Month to you as we turn another calendar page in 2022. Our new neighbors, transplants from Texas, were all in a Christmas spirit this past week as the cooler weather of the past week, apparently was the exact weather they have at Christmas time in the part of Texas they are coming from. I thought, “Oh boy, are you in for a treat... or… a rude awakening, come Christmas.” I like that idea though. We should be in a Christmas spirit, always, for your see, no matter the circumstances of our planet, the turmoil, the destruction, be it by war or natural phenomena, none of it, NONE, can erase the fact that our Creator was born as our Savior and living among us has given us the light of life, the truth of life enclosed in Scripture and the promise that the Holy Spirit will help us discern it to a fruitful life and the award of the crown of life when we go home.

This Wednesday – October 5th – Family Time & Philippians Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the Bible Study on the book of Philippians with Caleb Simmons which will also be available to those interested in participating on Zoom.

Birthdays this week: Barb Oja (3rd); Claudia Mitchell (8th)

Zoom Bible Reading – Tuesday & Friday - 7:15PM-7:45PM

Please join us as we read through the New Testament. This week we will read on Tuesday 1 John 4-5 and on Friday we will read 2 & 3 John.

Games Night, Question in the Box, Prayer Night, Singing Night

Last Wednesday as we were talking around dinner, Charles mentioned of how in the past we used to have a different themed night every Wednesday and that kind of brought some good nostalgia back. I would like to know who is willing to bring back our themed Wednesdays.

Manu Office Hours – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

I’ve been trying to be in the office one Tuesday morning, Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning in case anyone wants to pray together, have a Bible Study, or just some fellowship time. I would appreciate a notice ahead of time and for that you can use my calendar. Just go to the Troy calendar, click on Manu@ Church Office and follow directions.
