Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

We’ve arrived to the last Sunday of July and we are ready to tear another page of the 2022 calendar. August is knocking on our door. The 8th month of 2022 and I am trying to think what our story of 2022 will be as a congregation. I am excited to see that our Sunday gatherings are ever increasing in the number of those attending in person, that we are coming once again together to raise our voices to God. I am excited to see new people being brought by God into our midst which is testimony that God believes there is work to be done among us, in our community. Covid created a vacuum but also an opportunity and I believe our communities are looking for God with a renewed desire. Let us bring our hearts before the Lord this morning and ask of Him to use us for His glory! Amen!

This Wednesday – August 3rd – Family Time & Philippians Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the Bible Study on the book of Philippians with Caleb Simmons which will also be available to those interested in participating on Zoom.

Birthdays this week: Kirk Imhoff (6th)

Zoom Bible Reading – Tuesday & Friday - 7:15PM-7:45PM

Please join us as we read through the New Testament. This week we will read on Tuesday Colossians 1-4 and on Friday we will read 1 Thessalonians 1-3, if you want to catch up to where we are.

Is it too early to think of 2023?

Since Covid came into our world we’ve kind of pressed hard on the brakes. As we’ve come to learn to live with the new normal, I am hoping that we will re-start our community outreaches and would like for us to purposefully start praying for 2023 and start meeting to plan next year’s activities – VBS, Community Celebration, Fall Fest, Christmas, etc.
