Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and welcome to our worship gathering. I’ve always been reluctant to call our Sunday morning worship a “service.” It may be because I am not a native English speaker but even though we serve God, and I sure hope we serve one another, by calling it a service I’ve always understood it as something the church stuff does for those who come which could not be farther from the truth. If you are here today, you are in a gathering and encouraged to be an active part of worship. Even though we are together, you are here to worship God and serve as much as anyone. There was only one ticket sold for this privilege. A ticket for you and me bought by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ so you and I can worship God, not a God hidden behind a temple curtain but a God in whose throne room you have access and are invited this morning with your heart and mind. Let’s worship!

This Wednesday – April 10thFamily Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, We will continue to study Jesus’ parables led by Charles.

Birthdays this week: Bobby Westerby (8th), Nita Sampath (8th)

Online Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday – 7:15PM.

Please make plans to join us this week for group Bible reading. This is a time ( in addition to you own personal Bible reading time), that offers us the possibility to be together in the word just as the Apostles and the early Church left by Christ, our Lord was. 100% pleasing to the Lord, I believe. We are in Ezekiel this week.

Fellowship & Lunch

Although I am not sure how many will be hanging around today due to many being out of town but feel free to hang around after services and enjoy fellowship with whoever stays today. Guests, we bring our food and join several others who like to hang around and enjoy each other’s company after the worship gathering.

Offering

This morning besides the offering plate, you can as always have the option to make your contribution online at https://troychurch.net/give

If neither one of these options are suitable, please send a check to Lisa Jones. Her address is in the directory. Thank you.

“This life therefore is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness, not health, but healing, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it, the process is not yet finished, but it is going on, this is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified.”― Martin Luther
