Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Kαλό μήνα (Kalo mina) Good Month! to you and may the Lord prosper you and keep, may He bless you with wisdom and love and may you grow deeper in love with Him as you grow stronger in faith!

August is here and with it really hot days. I think this is on purpose to make us look forward to the cooler weather that comes as the Michigan Fall creeps closer. The cycle of life in nature. The rhythm God brings over us all. No matter where in this cycle you find yourself, it is my hope that as we get together to worship today you will be able to find the quiet of your heart. That space where you can feel God’s presence near, where you can listen and receive encouragement. The mental space in which the Spirit can infuse life and rest rejuvenating you for the week to come, for the leading of God’s hand to walk in His purpose to His glory.

This Wednesday – August 10th – Family Time & Philippians Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will continue the Bible Study on the book of Philippians with Caleb Simmons which will also be available to those interested in participating on Zoom.

Birthdays this week: Nancy Schroeder (11th)

Anniversaries this week: Caleb & Della Simmons (13th)

Zoom Bible Reading – Tuesday & Friday - 7:15PM-7:45PM

Please join us as we read through the New Testament. This week we will read on Tuesday 1 Thessalonians 4-5 and on Friday we will read 2 Thessalonians 1-3, if you want to catch up to where we are.

Is it too early to think of 2023?

Since Covid came into our world we’ve kind of pressed hard on the brakes. As we’ve come to learn to live with the new normal, I am hoping that we will re-start our community outreaches and would like for us to purposefully start praying for 2023 and start meeting to plan next year’s activities – VBS, Community Celebration, Fall Fest, Christmas, etc.
