Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and God’s peace to you this day! Thank you for being with us as we’ve gathered to worship a loving and merciful God, Who through grace has adopted us in Jesus Christ as His children and heirs, and gifted us eternal life. For the moment however, we have to endure a little longer these earthly troubles, in step with our times, being alive in a idolatrous generation in which pride is at home and self-centeredness thrives. Even so we are called to a greater purpose in living. We are to be lights and guides for seeking souls trying to find their way home. Through our example and through our testimony we make a difference in the world as the world is being preserved through us. You may look around and wonder what’s the use but never forget that each day souls are being rescued and saved and that’s only possible because in this generation there are more righteous people than in Noah’s generation. If there were none – the end would come.

This Wednesday – September 4th – Family Time & Bible Study

On Wednesday, we will meet in person for our Family Time at 6:00PM for those of you who want to bring their meal and eat it in the company of other brothers and sisters. This is our bi-weekly fellowship meal.

From 7PM, we will have a time of study led by Manu.

Birthdays this week: Ada McCauley (9th); Charlotte Simmons (12th); Ryeland Oja (13th);

Service Ministry Suggestions Please

The church in the 1st century was instrumental in taking care of widows and orphans. In a time when these were often condemned to a life of poverty, the church stepped in and through their charity fed, clothed and loved these people. In today’s society although poverty is not the same and government programs are so numerous that those homeless or in extreme poverty are often the result of addictions and mental dysfunctions, how is the church called to love and to serve? Where do you see our congregation making a positive impact for Jesus?

Church of Christ Care Center – October 6th

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all who came this past Sunday. It was a God honoring service and everyone in attendance seemed to be encouraged and uplifted. Our next worship at the Care Center is October 6th.

Troy Highland Games & Corn Roast – September 22nd

We are a little bit late in organizing this event this year, but we still hope you’ll attend and enjoy. Troy Highland Games & Corn Roast will take place on September 22nd. As a special treat, Charles & Jeremy are planning a Southern Boil for that day as well so it’s sure to be an awesome time. Please plan to be here that day.
