Minister’s Corner

Shalom aleikhem! שָׁלוֹם עֲלֵיכֶם Peace be upon you!

Good morning and although we are gathered an hour earlier than usual, I hope you have had enough rest during the night, and you feel refreshed and ready to also be recharged spiritually. Being part of a small congregation however is no picnic when it comes to spiritual renewal and recharging. In large congregations is often easier to get “pumped up” emotionally by the larger crowd, the music and energy overall. In a small congregation however, you are forced to plug in to God and there is not a lot of room for fuzzy feelings gathered from the crowd. Actually, you have to be so well plugged into God that all the usual distractions (kids, flat singing, lack of energy) will not drain you even of what energy you have left. Here is where the mask drops, and you have to face your own spiritual self and decide what else needs to go to make more room for Jesus. Is He truly your King yet?

This Wednesday – 12th March – Fellowship Dinner & Bible Class – 6:00PM

Please make plans to join us for our BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) mid-week Fellowship at 6PM on Wednesday. This is a great time to connect, strengthen relationships and catch up with one another.

From 7PM we will have a Bible Study led by Charles.

Birthdays this week: Brenda Imhoff (9th);

Bible Break – Tuesday – 10:00AM to noon

Every Tuesday morning, a group of ladies from different congregations joins a group of our ladies for a Bible class. Currently studying Romans. Please invite any of the ladies you know.

Zoom Bible Reading – Monday & Thursday from 7:15PM

Please plan to join our Bible Reading group. This session they will be reading through the New Testament. You can use the same Zoom link as you use to join the services on Sunday morning.

Church of Christ Care Center – April 6th – 2PM

Again, a heartfelt thank you to all of you who made the trip to the Care Center to worship with the older folks there. May God remember your good deeds on the day of our resurrection and reward you with the treasures of heaven.
